Selina had a lot of time to think during the night.
I would like to think that dragon transformation during pregnancy wouldn't hurt the baby at all, in fact it could be a good thing for the child to be naturally in touch with his/her dragon side later in life.
If Selina had stayed in dragon form during the full term, she would have actually had an egg instead, and a dragon would have been born instead of a humanoid.
Also! I was interviewed last week by a friend of mine who does writing workshops and we went in-depth together on what it takes to write/produce a webcomic, and some of my takes of creating Everpresent's story. It was a lot of fun!
